From May 27th - 31st Listowel will celebrate the 55th birthday of Ireland's first and longest lasting literary festival. Writers and readers from far and wide will gather to celebrate the written word together. The town will come alive with panel discussions, moderated talks , poetry readings, interviews, book launches and Irish language events.
Join us on a cultural walking or bus tour and explore the heritage town of Listowel. Book a three day creative writing workshop with some of Ireland's leading writers or bring your children to our family friendly workshops. Celebrate the best of Irish writing on our opening night with the Kerry Group Novel of the Year and the Pigott Poetry Prize, two of Ireland's largest literary prizes.
