Maharees Beach is a beautiful sandy beach. The area of Maharees is located in the north of Dingle Peninsula and is surrounded by the crystal clear waters of Brandon and Tralee Bay, in County Kerry. It is a 5km long tombolo that neighbours nearby Castlegregory Village and Tralee town.

Maharees Beach in County Kerry, is a famous surfing location due to its impressive swells so don’t forget to bring your surf board. Thrill seekers can book in for water skiing or enjoy a slower pace and give angling a go. Hire a canoe and get the family out on the water or delight the kids with a day of pony trekking.

Walk barefoot through the picturesque stretches of golden sand dunes on Maharees Beach. Admire the flocks of whooper swans that thrive in the beach’s unique ecosystem which is a SAC Special Area of Conservation.

After all the exciting water activities, everyone is sure to be hungry. Visit the nearby village of Fahamore for dinner and dine at one of the local restaurants. Feast on delicious seafood dishes and relax after a day at this magical beach.
