The Castlelough Restaurant at The Lake Hotel has been recognised for culinary excellence and exemplary service and has received a 2 AA Rosette award in recent years.

The Castlelough Restaurant is an impressive dining room, much of which was built as part of the original house in 1820. It has high ceilings, large ornate mirrors and cornice work which reminds one of the great country houses of the past when dinner was the highlight of the day and ball gowns and black tie were the usual attire.

Table d’hote and a la carte menus are available. Special dietary requirements are catered for as much as possible but advance notice is helpful. Groups are welcome to dine in the Castlelough Restaurant and menus can be created to celebrate an occasion. Please contact hotel reception by email or phone to discuss in detail and check availability. Non residents are welcome to dine in the Castlelough Restaurant, subject to availability.

The Lakeside Bistro is ideally located in a bright and relaxing lounge offering views of the ruins of the 12th century McCarthy Mór Castle and of course the lakes and mountains beyond. With the warming golden sunlight pouring in throughout the day and evening this is the perfect spot from which to admire the setting in front of your eyes.

The Lakeside Bistro is popular for morning coffee and scones and leisurely lunches for guests, locals and passing tourists. The Lake Hotel is an ideal location for classic afternoon tea in the afternoon and casual tasty bar food throughout the early evening. The local, fresh produce prepared by the chefs combined with friendly and helpful staff ensure that guests come back again to enjoy the restful and inviting space.

Also available to make your visit more enjoyable is a kids colouring set, just ask your server for a set. The Lakeside Bistro also offers a vegetarian and vegan menu with daily specials. Non residents are most welcome. Drinks and food are served outside on the lawn, weather permitting.
