This St. Brigid’s weekend, the Irish National Stud & Gardens invites families and history enthusiasts to celebrate heritage, nature and storytelling with Walking with Brigid. History, Stories & a Touch of Magic. 31st January to 2nd February, 12–3pm.

The weekend begins with Along Brigid’s Path: a walk and talk starting beside the Wayside Well. Historian Mario Corrigan will explore the well’s links to St. Brigid, before walking through the Stud. A presentation will follow, highlighting Kildare Town, the Black Abbey, St. John’s Well & the Stud, ending with 4 stories of Brigid for families. Colouring pages will be available.

Then enjoy a guided Nature Walk through St. Fiachra’s Garden, & the afternoon will be filled with live music from local musicians, arts & crafts, and a children’s drawing competition to design St. Brigid’s Cloak.
