Ballyrafton Wood is located about half way between Kilkenny and Castlecomer on the main road, in County Kilkenny. Its facilities include riverside forest walks, picnic tables, seats and free car park. There is also a tower bridge crossing the river Dinan. There is a riverside walk of about 1.6km at Ballyrafton. The main tree species are native oak woodland, also some ash. The fauna includes otter, grey squirrel and the native red squirrel.
