Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny’s Barrel Yard is the place to be across this May Bank Holiday for the Smithwick’s Kilkenny Roots Festival as it hosts three not-to-be-missed free bank-holiday weekend gigs.
Smithwick’s is once again the title sponsor for Ireland’s leading Americana and roots music event from May 1st-4th. It brings an incredible line-up of international artists from America, Europe and the UK to the history-steeped Barrel Yard and venues across Kilkenny’s medieval city centre.
Throughout the weekend, Smithwick’s Experience will host a series of international performances, including the opening festival act, Grey DeLisle (USA) on Friday, May 1st. The Equatorial Group from the UK on May 2nd and Satellite Inn from Italy on Sunday, May 3rd. All acts will be on stage from 5pm.
