Pococke Golf Course is a mature Parkland Golf Course, open to the public which is just 5 minutes from Kilkenny City. Featuring water on several holes as well as Greenside and Fairways, Bunkers, Mature Spinnes and other obstacles. The rules of the game are the same as Golf. Each hole carries a par and the aim is to get the football into the bigger hole in as few shots as possible. Suitable for both the experienced and new golfer.

Rugby golf new to Kilkenny and the Southeast, Rugby golf is just what you’d expect: a mixture of rugby-centric skills set on its own 9 hole course with a unique “hole.” Played at the Pococke Golf Centre, players tee off by kicking the ball down the fairway off of a tee, drop-kicking or kicking out of hand for medium-range shots and then throwing the ball into the net as a hybrid of chipping and putting. It is one of the most inclusive games for all ages and abilities.
