MacDonagh Junction Kilkenny Shopping Centre is the largest in Ireland's southeast. Located in the heart of Kilkenny City beside the train station, it is home to many of the top high street brands and food outlets. It has a bowling alley, play area, restored historic buildings and a famine memorial garden.

MacDonagh Junction Kilkenny Shopping Centre is home to Dunnes, Next, River Island, TK Maxx, Carraig Donn, Jack and Jones, The Works, Pamela Scott, Champion Sports, Field’s Jewellers, Eason, Holland and Barrett, Get Connected, Swans and H&M. It also contains Boots pharmacy, Art It drop in studio, Peter Mark Hairstylists, Boston Barber, Flair Beauty Boutique, Claire’s Accessories and Jump Juice.

The main eating area is known as the Workhouse Square. This is a covered outdoor space made up of the beautifully restored former famine workhouse buildings with access from the main street and also from the shopping mall itself. The restaurants include Starbucks, Quigley's Café, Costa Coffee, The Pantry and O’Brien’s Sandwich Bar & Bagel Factory. Eddie Rockets can be found at the main entrance to the centre.

Services in the centre include covered or outdoor parking, a postal kiosk, an ATM, free wifi at Workhouse Square, and a free wheelchair and buggy service. The centre has modern and spacious baby changing areas and public toilet facilities and is completely accessible for all users. It also houses the Foroige Drum Youth Centre.

The local heritage and history is reflected in the restored workhouse buildings, the renovated railway buildings, the famine memorial garden and the Kilkenny time capsule. These are detailed in a free audio visual display in Workhouse Square beside Starbucks. Families and children may enjoy the free play area in Workhouse Square and K Bowl tenpin bowling centre.

The management and staff of MacDonagh Junction Kilkenny Shopping Centre look forward to welcoming you and wish you a pleasant shopping experience in beautiful surroundings.
