Visit some of Ireland’s historic castles including Blarney Castle, Bunratty Castle and Kilkenny Castle to name but a few. Take in the cobbled streets of the cosmopolitan Galway City, stopping to enjoy traditional fresh fish and chips in an authentic restaurant. Visit the magnificent Kylemore Abbey and/or the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher. Perhaps you’d like to visit Cong village where Maureen O’Hara and John Wayne filmed The Quiet Man. Here you can visit the museum and reenact scenes from the film or simply stroll along the river stopping off at Danagher's or Cohen's pub for refreshments.
Alternatively, why not visit and kiss the Blarney Stone, taking in the Blarney Woollen Mills before driving on to Killarney, famous for its Muckross House and Gardens and continue on to see the breathtaking Ring of Kerry.
Dublin City is also a must see where you can visit the Guinness Factory and learn how to pull your own pint of the black stuff. You can also visit Kilmainham Gaol steeped in Irish political history, with regular guided tours, and do some shopping on the cobbled pedestrianised Grafton Street.
Remember, your journey can be as long or as short as you desire. It can involve some or all of these destinations or if there’s anywhere else you might like to visit then just ask.
John aims for you to enjoy visiting Ireland in a relaxed environment with plenty of craic along the way. Having kissed the Blarney Stone himself, you can be sure that conversation will be flowing.
