Celtic Angling is an all inclusive guided fishing service operating for over 25 years and based near Adare in County Limerick. It is owned and operated by Paddy Dunworth, an angler with 45 years experience and an intimate knowledge of the fisheries and antiquities of this beautiful region.

You don’t need to bring anything as everything is supplied including accommodation transfers. Paddy is a marine and countryside guide with training in first aid, rescue and emergency first aid and VHF radio. He can also speak English, Gaelic, French and some German.

Celtic Angling includes fly casting tuition for beginners and improvers, which is free as part of the guiding service. Should you wish to go it alone, Paddy also provides a hire service for all the equipment you will need for a day’s flyfishing.

Celtic Angling specialises in wild brown trout on local rivers, the Maigue and the Deel, and provides full and half day angling tours and tuition in a variety of locations at a relaxed and friendly pace.

This area is rich in folklore, steeped in history and dotted with heritage sites and antiquities. For the angler or non angling companion, Paddy, who’s also a heritage guide, offers guided heritage and hill walking tours to such attractions as Adare, Lough Gur, Knockfierna or to the magical Kingdom which is County Kerry.
