Whether you’re a seasoned race goer or just curious to see what all the fuss is about, there is a variety of race meetings to suit everyone’s taste, from flat to National Hunt (Jump) Horse Racing at Limerick Racecourse.

Racing is a sport, surely, and one at which Ireland excels. It is also a social occasion without equal and a very special ‘slice of Irish life’.

With all the benefits of a 21st century venue, Limerick Racecourse has combined the elements of a rich history of horse racing with top class modern facilities to bring you a meeting place of unparalleled standards in the heart of 250 acres of golden vale landscape.

With 18 race meetings each year, you can choose from a weekend, bank holiday and evening race meeting. Children have free admission to each race meeting with on site free entertainment and playground available on each day.

Variety of bar and catering options available with friendly staff, excellent service and superb cuisine are all guaranteed when you dine on a race day. Taking your chance with the bookies and having a small flutter to add to the excitement of the racing.

Bus Éireann operate a bus service on race day from Limerick’s bus station. A Taxi rank is also available after racing. Private companies will operate an additional service such as Christmas racing and twilight evenings in the summer.
