On 6 June, Backstage Theatre becomes a stage for the next generation as Youth Theatre Island arrives in Longford — an all-island celebration of youth theatre delivered by Youth Theatre Ireland and Theatre & Dance NI with venue partners.

Expect fearless ensemble work and fresh storytelling in a programme combining brand-new short plays with new devised pieces developed through Youth Theatre Island.

The event also includes a guest presentation by Longford’s own BYT with a new piece written by BYT members under the guidance of Setanta Flood.
