Alpaca walking
More from visitors like you
Long Acre Alpacas is a small family run alpaca trekking company situated in the heart of County Louth. The trek operates through the scenic area of the great bog of Ardee.

At Long Acre Alpacas there is an opportunity to get up close and personal with the curious Alpacas. There are six Alpacas that love to be accompanied on trek through the “great bog of Ardee”. This is the most easterly raised bog in Ireland and home to some wonderful flora and fauna.

The Alpaca Experience involves a meet and greet with the boys, an explanation on how to handle them on the walk and a brief introduction to the world of Alpacas. The trek itself takes approximately 40 minutes with lots of photo opportunities along the way. It is finished off by putting the Alpacas back in their paddock and hand feeding them some treats, followed by some light refreshments for the humans. A meet and greet option is also offered for those unable to complete the trek.
