PJ's Bar & Restaurant
Carlingford, Co. Louth
PJ's Bar & Restaurant in County Louth, offers freshly cooked, locally sourced produce in a traditional setting. Situated at the foot of the mountains in the heart of Carlingford Village and a stones throw from all of the historical places of interest and the Lough.

The Anchor Bar, known locally as PJ’s, is one of Carlingford's best known and most popular bars. Located in the heart of the village on the picturesque pedestrianised Tholsel Street, the traditional bar proves a firm favourite among locals and visitors to the area.

The original bar and part of the grocery store has remained untouched over the years, and is completed by the framed leprechaun bones and costume of Sean Og, found by the late PJ O'Hare, attracting visitors and producers of documentaries from all over the world. The blazing open fire warmly welcomes customers in winter months, providing the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy fine food or drinks.

The lounge is fully air conditioned and is an ideal venue to view all live sporting events. The large beer garden to the rear of the property is the perfect suntrap in summer months. Beautifully decorated with colourful flowers and hanging baskets the beer garden is always bustling with atmosphere, whatever the weather.
