Set in a 1990s American high school, Mark is happily dating queen bee Shannon—until she ditches him when she learns pop impresario Simon Austin will judge the State Talent Show. Overnight, Mark goes from hero to zero. His garage band friends rally, transforming their grunge group into a boy band to beat Shannon’s “Candy Girls.” There’s only one problem: they can’t dance.
