Ballina Golf Club in County Mayo has forty shades of green visible from the clubhouse and this greatly enhances the scenic aspect of the course. The lush fairways, carefully manicured greens and strategically placed water hazards and bunkers all add variety to the golfing challenge presented.

Ballina Golf Club in County Mayo is an 18-hole parkland course with a par of 71. It comprises of four par threes, eleven par fours and three par fives. It is 5,993m long. The undulating terrain and strategically planted trees make it a challenging test for the average golfer. The course was designed by Eddie Hackett and the present course was part of the former Jones Estate at Musgrove, with interesting landmarks including "The Larch Woods" and "The Rookery" recalling the days before the acquisition of the lands in 1924.

Set in rolling parklands with a backdrop of the Ox Mountains and the majestic dome of Nephin, the course has panoramic views of rolling countryside, wooded acres and gorse clad hills and mountains. Bird life abounds in the area and the songs of thrush and blackbird augment the enjoyment of a typical round of golf.

Ballina Golf Club has a well stocked golf shop run by the resident P.G.A. professional, Eddie Tracey, and you can rent golf equipment if needed. It is advisable to book rental equipment in advance.
