Beth Moran Handweaver on Clare Island, in County Mayo, is a cottage industry specialising in handweaving, natural dying and spinning, producing high quality natural fibre hand woven goods.

A wide range of handwoven accessories in natural fibres of silk, wool and cashmere are made as well as a range of handwoven, naturally dyed and homespun rugs. Much of craftswoman Beth Moran's work is fine silk and concentrates on intricate patterns. Each piece is unique.

Situated on Clare Island in an unspoiled environment with a population of 140 people, it affords a unique opportunity both in the landscape and the people for an intimate experience. There is a small farm of sheep which is a ready resource of wool for spinning and the land has many indigenous plants for dye materials.

Demonstrations on site in season are offered as well as a full schedule of courses in spinning, dying and hand weaving.
