The East Mayo Anglers Association, Swinford, County Mayo manages over 22km of prime fishing water on the internationally famous River Moy. The water starts upriver at Oldcastle, Meelick and runs down river to the boundary with Cloongee Fishery.
The stretch of river managed by the East Mayo Anglers Association, Swinford, County Mayo incorporates some of the finest fly fish runs and natural holding pools, and offers a variety of fishing to the angler.
Permits are available on a daily, weekly, or seasonal basis. There is spring salmon fishing here from early April and the grilse fishing can be good in June. The fishery boasts a state of the art mobility impaired/disabled person angling facility at the lower end of the fishery at Crillaun, Straide. The facility includes a changing area, car parking and access to a very productive area of the river.
