The Foxford Woollen Mills guided tour gives visitors background information about the mill. Visitors will hear why it was set up in Foxford, County Mayo, in 1892 and the challenges it faced.
Visitors are given the opportunity to walk through the working mill to see the machines in action, learn about how they work, and the processes involved to achieve the finished product.
There is a café where you can sit, relax, and listen to the sounds of the looms working below. The café menu is created using seasonal, local ingredients and herbs grown in the herb garden.
