Mulranny Arts, in County Mayo, is a learning destination offering day, weekend and week long classes and workshops, from creative craft opportunities to the masterclass experience in specialised studios. The building where Mulranny Arts is now based, was once the old Mulranny Convent. Built around 1904, it was later restored and converted into an arts and cultural centre.
Professional and experienced artists provide a diverse programme of classes throughout the year, from fine art classes and craft techniques to international retreat workshops. Mulranny Arts is a place where artists share their skills in specialised studios to both beginner and advanced students. The refurbished oratory also provides a beautiful space for a variety of gatherings and entertainment.
Talented and dedicated art and craft tutors host immersive classes in encaustic and mixed media, pastels, oil, stone mosaic, watercolour, glass art, stained glass, mosaics, various assemblage sculpture techniques, copper work and clay art. Wellbeing events at Mulranny Arts include, Gong Yoga Nidra, Pranic Meditation and Yoga Nidra.
The Mulranny Arts school also celebrates Irish culture and heritage with regular musical, Irish language and storytelling events throughout the year.
