The North Mayo Family Research Centre was set up in 1983 to carry out genealogical research for clients whose ancestors came from the northern part of County Mayo.
It is a member of the Irish Family History Foundation. It has amassed a wealth of local knowledge that is an essential part of the process of putting together comprehensive family trees.
The Centre, located in Enniscoe, has compiled a complete database of all the major genealogical resources relating specifically to the North Mayo catchment area, which comprises 29 parishes. The specially-designed database now contains nearly a million records for North Mayo.
Records for the remaining parishes of County Mayo are held at the south Mayo family history centre in Ballinrobe.
The Centre specialises in the production of individually-researched Family History Reports researched by dedicated and professional genealogical researchers. Customers can commission their exclusive report by simply filling in the application form available on their website – http://www.heritageatenniscoe.com or emailing an enquiry to northmayo@gmail.com.
