Ross Beach, Killala is a sandy beach in a rural environment and is located 5km north of Killala Town. It is located along the shoreline of Killala Bay, which is an extensive triangular estuary with mudflats lining the sides of the channel. The bay offers rich feeding for wildfowl and waders. The ground flora here has an unusual degree of diversity.
Ross Beach, Killala has great views of Bartra Island in the River Moy estuary and across Killala Bay to Enniscrone Beach on the east shore. The beach has a lifeguard on duty for July and August. More information can be found on the noticeboard located at the beach.
