Why we like it
  • The 2.5km Westport Greenway is part of the Great Western Greenway, a 42km off-road cycling and walking trail from Westport to Achill.
  • The Great Western Greenway follows much of the 19th-century Midlands Great Western Railway route. It ran between Westport and Achill until 1937 and was constructed to service what were then more rural areas of the county.
  • Enjoy delightful views of Clew Bay and its many islands and embrace new perspectives on County Mayo’s pilgrimage mountain, Croagh Patrick.
