The route begins at the tranquil Blackwater Park in Navan, and follows the historic tracks of the former Midland Great Western Railway.

As you set out on the Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway, you will have the opportunity to mingle with friendly locals. The route weaves through the charming rural villages of North County Meath. Along the way, view the stunning architecture of historic station houses, ornate gates, and the remnants of the old railway line. Your journey culminates amidst the natural splendor of Dún na Rí Forest Park in Kingscourt, nestled in the serene Lakelands of County Cavan.

The Greenway boasts two scenic walking loops and two beautiful parks, offering a chance to immerse yourself in forest trails or enjoy leisurely strolls on buggy friendly paths. Starting from the bustling town of Navan, the Greenway meanders near the quaint villages of Kilberry, Wilkinstown, Castletown Kilpatrick, Nobber, and Kilmainhamwood, before gracefully concluding in Kingscourt, County Cavan.
