This year’s Sundew Festival in Daingean puts nature, creativity and community at the heart of a lively, family-friendly programme. Running from 12–14 June, the festival highlights the local landscape and biodiversity, alongside a strong mix of cultural and creative experiences. Events include a “Find the Sundew” walk on Friday, a guided Swift Walk with Offaly Biodiversity Officer Ricky Whelan on Saturday, and a “Biodiversity Through Microbes” session. Music and spoken word performances will take place on a barge along the canal, adding a unique riverside setting to the programme.
