The public sandy beach stretches over a long area of shoreline between Cliff Road and the mouth of the River Moy. The beach is split near the south side of the Town by the small Bellawaddy River. A comprehensive network of sand dunes, rich in flora and fauna, provide an impressive backdrop to the beach. The ‘Valley of Diamonds’, a sandy, volcano-like valley can be located amongst the largest of these long-grassed dunes.
Inishcrone offers visitors a wide range of activities for all age groups, including almost 5km of safe beach, world famous seaweed baths, a marvellous 27 hole golf links course, a leisure centre, playground and amusement park.
A section of the beach is lifeguarded during the summer and more information can be found on the noticeboard located at the beach.
