Based at Enniscrone beach, County Sligo, North West Surf School offers a variety of surf programmes for individuals and groups of all ages and skill levels. Youth surf camps are also organised on the 5km beach.

Located on Enniscrone beach, a 5km strand in County Sligo, North West Surf School runs a selection of surf programmes for surfers of all ability and age. Enniscrone is an ideal place to learn to surf as it is 5km long, sandy and safe.

Visitors can take part in individual lessons or group sessions and youth surf camps are also on offer. All instructors at the school are certified by the Irish Surfing Association and also have beach lifeguard qualifications. Or surfers can hire soft boards and wetsuits if they are ready to explore the waves on their own.

The surf school is open from March till the start of December, depending on the weather. For lessons, it is essential to book lessons between March and December. Summer can be very busy.

There's no feeling so exhilarating as catching your first wave, getting your longest wave or just getting to your feet. Let North West Surf School help you enjoy the wonderful world of surfing.

When you are finished on the water, Enniscrone and indeed all of Sligo County has lots of entertainment on offer. A seaweed bath is a great way to unwind or you might enjoy a meal or a few drinks at local bars and restaurants. Nearby Sligo Town also offers any number of bars and restaurants to choose from and has a great collection of sights to see including The Yeats Memorial Building, The Courthouse and the Sligo Famine Memorial.
