The Cahir Town Walking Tour explores the town’s rich history through key heritage sites. Highlights include the 13th century Cahir Priory, the Quaker Houses and mills and the Granary, which was associated with flax and linen production.

The route passes through the Ha Ha to the Viaduct, the site of two notable railway accidents and highlights Charles Bianconi’s pioneering coach service between Clonmel and Cahir. Other points of interest include the Margaret Charteris Water Fountain, an early source of piped water in County Tipperary. Passing Cahir Castle and Inch Field, the tour concludes at the medieval St Mary’s Churchyard.
