Here in the heart of Tipperary in the gorgeous scenic Glen of Aherlow we host the country's only winter walking festival. Every walk is surrounded by nature and beauty and spectacular views that were recently given recognition from Lonely Planet.
This takes place the last weekend in January from Friday 30th to Sunday 1st February. This festival starts off with a nice easy walk at 7:30pm from Aherlow House hotel to Christ The King. This is to welcome everybody to the Winter Walking Festival and provides a chance to meet some fellow walkers.
There are 3 walks provided on Saturday and Sunday to suit all abilities and give a variety of experiencing the Galtee mountains or exploring some of our woodland forest tracks. Every walk is surrounded by nature and beauty and spectacular views that were recently given recognition from Lonely Planet as to one of the top destination to visit in 2026.
