Cruise the unspoilt natural environment and fascinating historic heritage of the Blackwater River Valley with Blackwater Eco Tours in County Waterford. They offer two cruises per day and also has bespoke private tour options. Blackwater Eco Tours depart from Villierstown Quay, only a 15 minute drive from Dungarvan.

The River Blackwater is designated a special area of conservation and is home to several species including kingfishers, otters and peregrine falcons. Through conservation, community and education, Blackwater Eco Tours aims to promote environmental awareness and sustainability in this hideaway of West Waterford.

Boat trips last 90 minutes and depart twice daily from Villierstown Quay. Trips head north towards Cappoquin or south towards Youghal. One river trip includes a stop off at Dromana House and Gardens for a picnic lunch. Visitors will learn about the human stories that have flowed with the river over many centuries, experience the stunning landscape and ecology of the river while supporting the local community.

Blackwater Eco Tours have added family friendly ways to enjoy the river valley with self drive boats and woodland walking trails all located in the idyllic village of Villierstown.
