At Counsellors' Strand, Dunmore East, visitors can enjoy swimming or underwater activities such as snorkeling in the sheltered and picturesque coves. Visitors are advised to be wary of the tide, which comes right in and covers the beach.
There are excellent facilities such as toilets, a bar with a terrace that overlooks the beach and a large car park.
The beach is life guarded throughout the bathing season, which runs from June until the end of August.
Please note that the beach is accessible via a steep slipway that is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Why not tackle the cliff walk nearby and you will be rewarded with stunning sea views from another angle.
