Waterford has been confirmed as the host city for the 2026 World GAA Games. This five-day event will feature matches over four days at SETU Arena from July 13–16, 2026, with the finals taking place on Friday, July 17 at Walsh Park.

The 2026 GAA World Games will be held in Waterford, Ireland, from July 13–17, 2026, with matches at the SETU Arena (Carriganore) and finals at Walsh Park. Over 2,000 players from more than 100 teams worldwide will compete in football, hurling, and camogie, marking the second time the city hosts this international event.

July 13: Opening Ceremony and Parade.

July 13–16: Match days (Football, Hurling, Camogie).

July 17: Finals Day at Walsh Park.

Participants: Over 2,000 players representing international GAA units - Open (Irish-born/played in Ireland) and International (non-Irish born) categories
