Newtown Cove is located on the south east coast of County Waterford and is just on the outskirts of Tramore town.
Tramore is best known for its sweeping strand, but a short drive away on the Great Newtown Head lies its hidden gem. There is a shingle beach and also platform for diving and jumping.
Swimmers are advised to keep an eye on the tides.
There is a large car park and basic toilets. A couple of seats and picnic tables overlook Newtown Cove and there is wheelchair access via a path through the Newtown woods.
