St Declan's Way Annual Pilgrimage 2026
Lismore, Co. Waterford
18 April - 24 May 2026
The annual St Declan’s Way pilgrimage travels from Cashel, Co Tipperary to Ardmore, Co Waterford and takes place over three weekends.

The pilgrimage follows the route that St Declan took when going to Cashel to meet St Patrick in the fifth century. In turn, it is the way that Pilgrims have taken to visit St Declan’s monastery, holy well and grave in Ardmore for the past one and a half thousand years.

Knockmealdown Active are organizing a 6 day walking event in 2026, guiding you along the route through lush Irish countryside, from the Golden Vale in Tipperary across the Knockmealdown Mountains to the Celtic Sea.

Each day’s walking is on average 20km in distance so this is a real Irish Camino experience.

Readers are advised to check with the organiser before relying on the details published here.
