Mullingar's championship parkland course at Belvedere, on the outskirts of the town, is the work of famous Scottish designer James Braid. Although some cosmetic changes have been made since its creation in 1935, Mullingar remains essentially as its designer intended. The championship challenge is set in old wooded and delightfully undulating parklands. Generous rolling fairways wind their paths through mature timbers. It hosts important amateur events annually in the shape of the Mullingar Scratch Cup. Visitors are very welcome. Prior booking advised at weekends.
