This romantic Gothic Revival Castle has been the family home of the Pakenhams for 370 years. Visitors to the Castle can enjoy a whole range of historical insights with a Life Below Stairs tour of the Victorian Kitchens, Scullery and Laundries (including the biggest mangle you have ever seen!) Tours of the grand main rooms include the magnificent Great Hall, the Library with its hidden door, and the Drawing and Dining rooms.

Once outdoors explore expansive parklands that stretch across ornamental lakes and waterfalls, pleasure grounds, walled kitchen gardens, herbaceous borders and an exotic Himalayan plant collection created following Thomas’s travels. A Discovery Trail for children and Courtyard Tearoom complete the family experience.
