Ceadogán Rugmakers have been making hand tufted rugs in the sunny south east of Ireland in Wellington Bridge, County Wexford for over 40 years. In that time, Ceadogán Rugmakers has evolved from a small hearth rug business to a leading maker of bespoke rugs and wall hangings.

Ceadogán Rugmakers in County Wexford, is an Irish luxury textile brand with a contemporary design approach to the traditional craft of hand tufted rugs. Each rug is a collaboration between crafts people and designers. They collaborate with some of Ireland’s designers working across fashion, architecture, graphic design and art. Ceadogán Rugmakers use natural yarns including, wool, silk, hemp and bamboo. Hours of tufting, shearing, carving, clipping, backwinding and plucking are invested into the making of each rug.

Works from Ceadogán Rugmakers can be found hanging or lying all around the globe. Ceadogán Rugmakers is united in their passion for using good quality materials, design and making. The team are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in their craft and pride in their work. They remain true to their roots, are fiercely independent, committed to their local heritage and the tradition of exceptional craftsmanship.

Visitors are welcome to see the workshop and showroom situated in the family homestead, which is a stone walled farmyard dating back to the 17th century.
