A director has to seamlessly combine the roles of dreamer and diviner with those of disciplinarian and driver of the process. The workshop will be an investigation of some of the key skills the successful director has to have: conceptual thinking for the setting and shaping of productions; text analysis for both contemporary and classic texts; rehearsal techniques to challenge and inspire a cast to give of their best.
An enjoyable, highly informative, hands-on high-speed tour of these techniques, and more! This practical workshop for theatre practitioners is part of a series of multi-disciplinary development workshops hosted by Four Rivers Theatre Co.
