Horsemen of Eire
More from visitors like you
With Horsemen of Eire discover medieval and cowboy trail rides, sword fighting and horsemanship lessons, jousting and mounted archery, in Wexford’s idyllic countryside.

Take part in an adventure where lots of possibilities are offered. The vaquero horsemanship training gives you the opportunity to touch the past, ride medieval horse breeds and learn the skills to forge a bond with a horse capable of withstanding the heat of battle.

Learn how to wield a blade using the secret teachings of historical fencing masters from original manuscripts with longsword, dagger, lance and rapier. Do a two day course and combine the two for an introduction into mounted combat with sword and lance or do a mounted archery course and feel the wind as you unleash flights of arrows.

If you are looking for a more leisurely adventure, try the medieval trail rides in costume, with history and ghost stories or the beach rides along the coast.

Just two and a half hours’ drive from Dublin Airport, Horsemen of Eire’s facilities offer not just adventure but a good stepping stone to explore Ireland’s Ancient East. The centre is 10 minutes’ drive from Wexford, the Irish National Heritage Park and Johnstown Castle, and is situated at the heart of Ireland’s Sunny South East between the Wicklow mountains and the historic Hook Peninsula with its breathtaking coast.
