Festina Lente Equestrian Centre in Bray, Co Wicklow offers equine centred activities to people of all ages, learning abilities and interests. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced rider the Equestrian Centre has something for everyone

Festina Lente Equestrian Centre, which is AIRE & BHS approved, offers equine centred activities to people of all ages, learning abilities and interests and is open all year. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced rider Festina Lente Equestrian Centre has something for everybody!

Festina Lente Equestrian Centre is located off exit 5 of the N11 (main Dublin/Wexford road) at the start of Bray town and is 5 minutes’ drive to the M50 and provides an inclusive environment which fosters each person’s learning and well-being in a supportive, nurturing and fun manner. They offer private and group riding lessons, dressage schooling and jumping tuition, pony camps and jumping clinics, long lining and lunging as well as stable management training, equine assisted learning and therapeutic riding lessons.

Their excellent facilities include a very large all-weather floodlit indoor arena, a large outdoor arena, outdoor paddocks and sensory trails.

Qualified coaches are committed to delivering high quality coaching for people who wish to learn to ride in an emphatic and enjoyable way. In addition to the more traditional equestrian activities they also provide a variety of other programmes to facilitate, educate and encourage children and adults with special needs. They have qualified Therapeutic Riding coaches who are experts in their fields and a variety of specially designed sensory therapeutic riding trails and equipment. Festina Lente Equestrian Centre also has a programme for people with special needs to come and help in the stable yard called our Supported Helpers Programme as well as a Special Olympics club.

Festina Lente Equestrian Centre also offer a various accredited training courses like their Therapeutic Coaching Programme, EAL Facilitator Programme and Equestrian Training Programme. They also run an Equine Facilitated Educational Programme & Camps during the school term and holidays for young people at risk of educational disadvantage. Equine Workshops & Conferences and Equine Research are featured regularly in Festina Lente Equestrian Centre which is a member of EFETA Ireland and HETI. Excellent Horse Welfare also plays a key role in Festina Lente Equestrian Centre.

Festina Lente is in the grounds of Old Connaught House and is home to a Walled Victorian Garden, Garden Centre and Gift Shop and Snackbar as well as offering training programmes for people with special needs and other community based programmes. There are many special events like adult gardening workshops and plant fairs and children’s gardening and nature workshops, events & birthday parties as well as the Wonder Paws dog training and agility classes, Dog Grooming and Dog Shows.
