Killykeen Forest Park is located in a very scenic area of County Cavan. The forest park consists of approx 240ha with predominant tree species being norway and sitka spruce amongst a considerable amount of mixed woodland including ash, oak, and beech.

The Lough Oughter lake system boasts a network of walks through these atmospheric forests, along with picnic areas, a swimming area, a family cycle trail (3km), and multiple access points to trails and paths.

Located just outside Cavan Town and close to Killeshandra, Killykeen is popular with families, bird watchers, walkers, and anglers. It is renowned for coarse fishing, with the main species of fish being pike, bream, and perch.
