Oil-fired central heating is provided throughout.
The spacious ground floor comprises a large traditional kitchen, sitting room, dining room, utility room and guest bathroom. The ground floor is a combination of tiled and wooden flooring. The main feature of the kitchen is an old-style oil fired cooker surrounded by original timber beams. An open fire is the centre piece of the sitting room that has two armchairs and a sofa. The dining room has a dining table and six chairs and also an open fire.
All bedrooms are on the first floor and have timber floors throughout. The spacious master bedroom has a double bed and period furniture as well as an ensuite bathroom with electric shower. The second bedroom has twin beds and a skylight window. There are two single beds in the third bedroom which overlooks the garden.
Ballykeeffe Wood is a 10 minute walk away, with scenic walks and breath taking views of the countryside. Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre, adjacent to the wood, hosts open air concerts during the summer months, and many renowned Irish artists have performed there. The old quarry at Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre is also suitable for rock-climbing. There are a number of nearby as well as historical sites such as Kilkenny Castle and St. Canice’s Cathedral.
