Carrowkeel Camping and Caravan Park is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of County Mayo. The multiple award winning park is found just a short distance from Castlebar and is ideally located for walking, cycling, salmon fishing and touring.
Carrowkeel can cater for up to 32 caravans or motor homes on hardstands (with 16amp electric sockets each) and 26 tents (with 6 power sockets of 6amp). On-site facilities include a reception area with shop and tourist information, modern toilet block with wheelchair accessible toilets, camper’s kitchen, laundry room and clubhouse, where guests can relax by the open fire, enjoy a meal or pick up some take away food. For the children, there are an outdoor play area and an indoor games room.
The park is surrounded by beautiful scenery, with Connemara, Achill Island, Croagh Patrick and stunning cliffs along the north coast of Mayo all on its doorstep. Popular activities in the area include walking, cycling and fishing as well as touring historic and cultural sites like the Museum of Country Life in Turlough, the Céide Fields and Ballintubber Abbey.
