Clissmann Horse Caravans is just 10 minutes’ drive from Glendalough and 1 hour from Dublin, with views of the Wicklow countryside. The caravans are tucked away in the trees where guests can toast marshmallows on the campfire, have a barbecue or curl up with a good book under the glow of the old time gas lights.

The glamping caravans are compact and are suited to a couple or family with children. There is a fold down double bed at the back and a pull out double bed across the walkway at the front. All bedding and bed linen are included as are towels and some extra blankets.

Each caravan is fully kitted out for a relaxing self-catering stay with a two ringed gas cooker and a grill for a lazy morning brunch or a pre hike feast and whistling kettle and coffee press.

For those that don’t feel like cooking there are some excellent restaurant and pub food options just a 10 minute drive away and a selection of restaurants that will deliver takeaway food to the farm.

The heated shower and toilet block is just 100 meters from the caravan and has hot showers and a hairdryer. As the caravan as no electricity, the communal area offers free WiFi and charge points for electronics as well as Nespresso coffee and tea facilities and information and maps of the area.
