Visitors to Danny Minnie's family run restaurant enter through the baronial entrance hall to a world of antique nostalgia complete with hanging prints, tapestries and paintings on a background of oak panelling glowing in the warmth of a duo of fireplaces.
Danny Minnie's is a long established restaurant with accommodation, dating back several generations. Built by the O'Donnell family, it began as a sibín alongside the road, developing to a pub and shop in the early 1900s, known as Rosie's. In 1963, Danny and Terri modernised the building to a pub and lounge, with local musicians and family performing in sing songs and sessions.
Re-modernised in 1983 into a restaurant with accommodation, Danny Minnie's has continued to thrive, building up a discerning clientele of guests who enjoy the high quality cuisine offered by the kitchen. The restaurant has been awarded many accolades over the past 30 years and continues to develop modern, progressive menus.
Danny Minnie's has several ensuite guest bedrooms. All rooms are individually designed in a relaxed, comfortable country style. This gives warmth and atmosphere and a strong sense of place to each room. Brass beds and antique furniture and ornaments give great character to each of the rooms. Double, twin and single rooms are available.
