Lawcus Farm House is a small scale farm situated on the outskirts of Kilkenny between the Medieval village of Kells and Stoneyford.
One can walk from Lawcus Farm House along cut grass paths to the Kings River where you will encounter a myriad of wildlife. Wild flowers decorate the river banks and during the winter months salmon can often be seen in the pools below the house. Sometimes you can watch the salmon and trout jump the weir on their journey up stream to spawn.
Lawcus Farm House offers bed and breakfast accommodation in five rooms. Three rooms are split level, with separate living and dining areas. Each of the rooms are refurbished to the highest standard. Also a Tree House accommodates two adults in the tree tops overlooking the Kings River.
Breakfasts is prepared made to order with fresh ingredients some from the farm.
The sitting room has a original inglenook fire place where you can sit and read, listen to music or just chat with family and friends.
Mark and Ann-Marie can organise adventurous walks in the surrounding countryside, where you can explore mountains, castles and waterfalls. The village pubs of Stoneyford are friendly offering traditional music in a cosy atmosphere. A working water mill, motte and bailey and Kells Priory are all within walking distance.
