Moate Lodge is a charming 18th Century house filled with character located outside the town of Athy in County Kildare. Guests here will be treated to complimentary tea, coffee and freshly baked scones during their stay while cots and babysitting services are available for children. Log fires will burn during winter months providing the perfect atmosphere after a long country walk.
Surrounded by lovely woodlands and fields, this B&B feels like it’s completely secluded while only being seven kilometres from Athy town. It is clearly signposted off the N78 making it easy to locate and it’s only one hour to all car ferries in Dublin city and County Wexford. Also signposted off the R418.
Athy’s location is perfect for exploring the east and south east regions. Athy has a host of pubs and restaurants and Kildare town is 15 kilometres from the B&B. The Irish National Stud Farm is a 20 minute drive away and there visitors can see the horse museum and the grounds where racing champions are born and bred. Further afield are the magnificent Altamont Gardens in Tullow, County Carlow and Kilkenny Castle, both of which are less than an hour’s drive. The B&B is also just one hour to all car ferries.
