John’s passion for great food has earned him numerous awards. Sheedy's Restaurant has been awarded the prestigious Two Rosettes from AA since 1998. The Restaurant has received a star from Georgina Campbell Guide to Ireland. Both residents and non-residents of Sheedy’s can enjoy an À la carte menu in the main restaurant and bar food is available in the evening in the hotel’s cosy and casual bar. John is passionate about the quality of his ingredients and sources a range of organic foods from local producers. John cooks every day in the restaurant and all breads and desserts are home-baked on the premises. Herbs are supplied from their own kitchen garden.

Enjoy organic apple juice, homemade organic fruit compots with Irish yogurt, porridge with Irish Whiskey or Baileys, local Burren smoked salmon with organic eggs - a fine way to start a morning. Sheedy's has won Best Breakfast in Munster. All breads, jams and marmalade are homemade.
The Burren is great walking country and the hotel can provide guests with walking sticks and maps of local walks. A lot of guests will head out after a home cooked breakfast, take a packed lunch with them and will be out all day walking on the Green Roads. They can then relax over dinner and perhaps end the evening with a whiskey from the well-stocked bar. The Cliffs of Moher and Burren Geopark are just 10 minute drive from Lisdoonvarna and boats go to the Aran Islands from Doolin each day during the Season. Enjoy the beaches at Lahinch and Fanore – both very popular with surfers. Lisdoonvarna is just 45 minute drive from Shannon Airport.
