A 13-bedroom Georgian manor hotel, The Millhouse sits on the banks of the Boyne River in Slane, County Meath. The hotel provides comfortable accommodation and specialises in weddings and other special events.

The Millhouse is an 18th-century Georgian manor set in the sweeping countryside of Slane County Meath along the banks of the River Boyne. The three-star hotel has 13 beautiful ensuite bedrooms that combine old-world elegance and contemporary design. All are indulgently comfortable, with stunning views of the surrounding area. Four-poster beds, free-standing baths, and rich silks and velvets add luxury and romance.

While staying at The Millhouse, guests can enjoy the hotel’s south-facing bars and sun-trapped courtyard, perfect spots to relax with a range of drinks, such as fine wine, organic cider and champagne. There is also the Millhouse Café and Restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner, and is an ideal place for a party of up to 120 people. Larger groups of up to 200 can be accommodated with a marquee added onto the Pavilion or in the barn.

With its beautiful countryside setting and excellent facilities, The Millhouse is a truly magical setting for a wedding. Imagine a grand pavilion draped in translucent silks; an Indian yurt marquee complete with colourful floor cushions; or a small gathering at dusk where distant lights twinkle in the orchard and towers of paper lanterns illuminate pathways through the lawn. Private birthday parties, celebration dinners, christenings, communions, hen and stag parties can also be hosted throughout the year.

Lying on the banks of the stunning River Boyne, The Millhouse offers a peaceful and indulgent escape. There is certainly plenty to keep visitors occupied, from relaxing with a cocktail in the hotel grounds, to shopping, golf, fish and historical site visits.
