The Burren Outdoor Education Centre, based at Bell Harbour, County Clare, offers a wide range of adventure and outdoor activities which include caving, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, snorkelling, body boarding, raft building, orienteering, rock climbing and hill walking.
Other programmes include adult specialist courses in mountain training, cave training, sea kayaking/kayaking and first aid, school field studies, TY and Gaisce, environmental studies and team building and development.
The centre also runs adventure summer camps for teenagers which involve adventure activities, challenges including raft building, games and an overnight camp during a five day visit. Suitable for 12-16 year olds, 10-12 year olds may attend the camps but only as day visitors unless they are accompanied by an older sibling.
Also on offer are half and full day introductory adventure activity days during the summer months.
